Competitive

Modern coaching methodologies for long term deep learning, as opposed to short term recital of information.

Play philosophy for realism and understanding of time and space, as opposed to isolated repetitive movements.

Holistic development of the person, as opposed to concentrated focus on just the player.

The Fremont YSC philosophy is to develop the complete player, through social, physical, psychological, technical, and tactical development. This development is nurtured through practice in safe, and fun environments, balancing structured coached practice, with more open free play.

All programs are based on the individual needs of the player, with the Competitive Program being professionally coached following an age appropriate curriculum.

While the traditional terminology is for ‘Competitive’ soccer, we operate a ‘Club’ soccer philosophy, where all staff member works in reference to a club game model and long term player methodology. Structured the same as a traditional European academy, we do not believe in using the term ‘academy’. A true academy is one that has senior playing options at a professional level, where the professional club provides a clear pathway and structured development program into their senior teams, and provide player orientated exit routes to support the education and career for the youth player that doesn’t make it to the professional level.

Fremont YSC has the following programs for Boys and Girls ages U7 to U19.
