Burpees for Boomers and Ballers 5

We’ve not forgot about the parents, I am sure you are all scratching at the door to get out and get some exercise. With gyms and parks closed we can be limited within our workouts, but we’ll be posting a number of workouts you can do in a very small space, and with very limited equipment needed. If you don’t have the equipment shown in the video, be creative and use alternative instruments, a few suggestions can be found in the video.

Workouts also appropriate for players, and can even be a family workout.

This weekend NorCal Premier put on their Summer Symposium in the form of a weekend webinar. This gave the coaches a great chance to jump on to this opportunity and keep learning from some of the best there is.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund were just two of the presenting clubs, and touched on both the importance of a club identity in structuring it’s playing style and coaching methodology, while Dortmund presented how Covid has created a new challenge for youth players, and we can use this experience to improve in different areas of a players development. Frans Hoek who recently visited the club was also presenting on his expertise, set pieces, and reinforced the importance of a reference point in sports coaching.

Keep an eye out during week 40 for presentations on the material in relation to the clubs operations.

Psychology – Habit

We are facing a time where we feel we may be unable to achieve our goals due to the restrictions in place while we all fight against the spread of Covid-19. Although at times we can feel less motivated, and lacking in desire to accomplish even the smallest of tasks, we can take advantage of the time we now have and create new habit loops to guide us on a path to optimizing our growth. Whether it be reading more books, getting more exercise, or specifically practicing a set goal.

Please see this weeks presentation on Habit.
