Fremont YSC is pleased to re-introduce the Kick or Treat Tournament that will be held on October 26th and 27th, 2024. K.O.T. Caters to Boys and Girls teams from the U9-U19 age groups that currently play in the Bronze and Copper brackets


GENERAL INFORMATION

Fremont YSC is pleased to announce the Kick or Treat Tournament, held in beautiful Fremont, California. The Kick or Treat Tournament is tailored for U9-U19 Boys and Girls Bronze and Copper teams to help maximize their season. This tournament is sanctioned by US Club.

WHEN

October 26th and 27th, 2024

WHERE

The main site will be Central Park Soccer Complex in Fremont, CA. Central Park is one of Northern California’s Premier Facilities and has hosted the State Cup and many regional events, additionally it boasts 8 high quality grass fields and 2 new artificial turf fields.

Teams/clubs wishing to pay by check need to make their check payable to ’Fremont YSC’ and mail to:

Please make sure you inform us of which team the check is for when sending it in.

** Please fill in the online application fully. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
** If you can not pay on line you still have to register online and then send in your check.
** Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received.
** Any team not accepted will receive a refund.
** Any team which withdraws after the application deadline of (September 1st) will not be eligible for a refund.


TOURNAMENT FORMAT 

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

Qualifying Group Stage, and 1st vs 2nd Final.

  • U9-U10 Boys and Girls teams play 7-a-side and may carry up to 14 players on their roster.
  • U11-U12 Boys and Girls teams play 9-a-side and may carry up to 16 players on their roster.
  • U13-U17 Boys and Girls teams play 11-a-side and may carry up to 18 players on their roster.

GUEST PLAYERS

Guest players are allowed;

U9-U12 – Maximum 5 Players

U13-U17 – Maximum 7 Players

Guest Players from the same club: For these players, the player must be added to the tournament roster and the team must have a valid laminated player pass and medical release form on hand for the player

Guest Players cannot play for multiple teams in the same tournament. If players are caught guest playing for multiple teams your team will be immediately banned from the tournament and from future tournaments.

Guest Players from a different club: For these players, the player must be added to the tournament roster and the team must have a valid laminated player pass and medical release form on hand for the player. In addition, the team must have a player loan form on hand that is signed by an authorized representative from both clubs.

COMMUNICATIONS

Each team is required to have an e-mail address and a designated team contact in order to receive all tournament communications. All communication will be carried out via e-mail and the GotSport tournament platform.


CHECK-IN

For the check-in process at our 2024 Kick or Treat event, we have refined the process to reduce contact and maintain social distancing.
Therefore, The team manager or coach will be required to fill in the attached waiver and hand it to the Tournament Director when they arrive at the tournament and then head directly to their field. Tournament Staff through the tournament will do random check-ins throughout the duration of the tournament to make sure that players participating in games are listed on the roster and have valid player passes by going to the field prior to the game to check player passes.

Note that teams will not be allowed to participate in the tournament up until the waiver is signed and submitted to the Tournament Director.

Parking at Central Park can be found at the designated parking spots shown on the map above. Additional parking is available across the street at the California School for the Deaf located at 39350 Galluadet Drive, Fremont, CA 94538


ATHLETIC TRAINER

We will have an Athletic Trainer on site through the duration of the tournament on both days. Players are welcome to seek medical attention at any time by approaching the Athletic Trainer Tent during the tournament.

COSTUME CONTEST

2023 Costume Contest Winners

This year’s Kick or Treat Costume Contest Winners are the 2015G Cal Magic West Team in their Wonder Women Costumes!

Congratulations Girls, this earns you a free registration into any of our 2024 Tournaments!

All teams are highly encouraged to wear Halloween costumes to this tournament. We will be having a costume contest where the winner will win free admission to our 2025 Kick or Treat tournament.

  • Teams will submit a picture of the team to the tournament twitter account: @FremontKoT or via email to the tournament director: rberry@fremontyouthsoccer.com
  • The winner of the costume contest will be announced the day following the event

Costume Guidelines and Policies:

  • Teams are encouraged to wear their costumes during their tournament games. Please make sure that all costumes are comfortable and conducive to playing 3-4 soccer games in a weekend
  • Please take into consideration safety regulations – make sure all costumes do not have any harmful objects that could hurt the player or an opponent
  • Uniform numbers are not required for costumes but please make sure to input all uniform numbers onto the tournament roster
